The life and career of Captain Bob Bartlett reveal a lot about the many meanings of Arctic exploration. I explored this in a recent presentation in Lethbridge, Alberta, which you can watch below. Bartlett, a native of Brigus, Newfoundland is the celebrated but mysterious subject of my new biography, Unchained Man: The Arctic Life and Times of Captain Robert Abram Bartlett.
The book is for sale in Canada and the UK or online, just in time for Christmas stockings! Thanks to the University of Lethbridge for sponsoring the evening. Nearly 300 people came out.
The presentation video is below. Meanwhile, subscribe to the blog for more Bartlett and Arctic tidbits and follow my facebook page Captain Bob Bartlett.
